Joe Moxley, a professor of English at the University of South Florida, has published books, book chapters, and essays on a variety of topics, including composition and creative writing pedagogy, academic writing, scholarly publishing, electronic theses and dissertations, qualitative research methods, assessment, and learning communities. Moxley's most recent book is Agency in the Age of Peer Production (NCTE 2012) with Quentin Vieregge, Kyle Stedman, and Taylor Mitchell.    (See Moxley-Publication Summary for a brief overview of selected works.) 
At USF, Professor Moxley teaches a practicum on teaching composition, a research methods course, a scholarly publishing course, and a seminar on rhetoric and technology.  As an independent consultant, Moxley has coached college-level writers at a variety of colleges and universities, including Wake Forest University; Virginia Commonwealth University; Thunderbird, The American Graduate School of International Management (more).
Moxley's College Writing Online received the 2004 Computers and Composition Distinguished Book Award.  The FYC Program at USF was awarded the Writing Program Certificate of Excellence Award by the Conference on College Composition and Communication.  He has received three undergraduate awards for excellence in undergraduate teaching and the President's Award.
